There are many ways to perpetrate one's undoing.

Out of all the possible choices, I suggest falling in love. Not only will it destroy everything you believe about yourself, it will also recommend that you not believe anything else at all.

(Do I sound like a heartbroken pessimist? I certainly hope so.)
